【Upcoming Event】Discover the Flavors of Myanmar – July 12

Join us for the Hello World International Understanding Program: “Discover the Flavors of Myanmar!”

What comes to mind when you think of Myanmar cuisine?

Located between India, China, and Thailand, Myanmar’s food culture reflects influences from its neighboring countries while maintaining its own unique culinary traditions.

At this event, Ms. Tobita, who is originally from Yangon, Myanmar, and currently studies Japanese at the Kohoku International Lounge, will introduce some traditional Myanmar dishes.

She will prepare two popular salads in front of the audience:

  • Lahpet Thoke – a salad made with fermented tea leaves
  • Gin Thoke – a salad made with ginger

What do they taste like? Come and find out!
