Following last year’s successful program, the Kohoku Regional Studies Lecture Series, organized by the Kohoku Ward Citizens’ Activity Support Center, will be held again this year.
The theme of this year’s lecture is “Creating a Vibrant Community Together with Foreign Residents.”
As of April 2026, the number of foreign residents in Kohoku Ward has exceeded 10,000. Foreign residents are important members of our local community. Why not join us in exploring how we can build relationships that support one another?
Participants will hear from volunteers involved in the Multicultural Moms Café and Japanese Language Classes held at the Lounge, as well as from foreign residents who take part in these programs.
In the second half of the event, a workshop on “Easy Japanese” (plain and accessible Japanese) will be held. Using the theme of disaster preparedness, participants will create flyers that are easier for foreign residents to understand.
