On March 28, we held a Language and Learning Support Volunteer Workshop and Roundtable at Kohoku Lounge for registered language volunteers.
A total of 22 volunteers joined the session, and a wide range of ideas and perspectives were actively shared.
In the first half, we had a talk by Ms. Furuya from Newcomer children class. In the second half, we held a group discussion.
Although there are many challenges in lunguage support volunteering, we were deeply moved and inspired by hearing everyone’s commitment to supporting children who have only recently arrived in Japan—often not by their own choice.
