Join us for a casual and engaging event where two residents of Kohoku Ward originally from Romania will share stories about their culture and everyday life.
Why not take a little peek into a country you may not know—just like going on a short trip abroad?

Participation Fee: ¥500 (includes herbal tea)
Registration: Advance reservation required – limited to the first 20

Mihaela Șerbulea
A board-certified general internal medicine physician. She came to Japan in the fall of 1993 as a Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship student and studied at Nagoya University. She has been a “Hakuran resident” in Yokohama since 2003. She has many interests, including natural medicine, traveling, and meeting new people.
“I would be happy to introduce my home country beyond the usual stereotypes. I hope to share the charms of Romania with you on the day of the event.”
He comes from Timișoara, a city located at the western edge of Romania. He arrived in Japan at the end of September 2024 and is currently conducting research as a research student at Tokyo University of the Arts, while also working as a programmer developing games. He plans to apply in April for the newly established Graduate School program in Game and Interactive Art at Geidai. His hobbies include gaming, music, and anime.
